What Specific Impacts Does the Cutting Process Have on the Quality of Aerated Concrete Blocks?

The equipment required for the aerated concrete block production process in the blank cutting section includes an aerated concrete block cutter, a tilting hoist, a cutting table, a demolding mechanism, conveying equipment, and other auxiliary equipment. The entire cutting process directly impacts the quality of the aerated concrete blocks, primarily affecting dimensional accuracy, appearance quality, internal structure, and performance.

The cutting process typically occurs after the aerated concrete block blanks have undergone preliminary hardening, accurately dividing the large blanks into the required specifications according to predetermined dimensions. More accurate cutting ensures that each aerated concrete block meets the design requirements, thus avoiding impacts on the accuracy of splicing during construction. Excessive dimensional deviations can lead to uneven gaps during masonry, reducing the integrity and aesthetics of the wall. Therefore, for aerated concrete block cutting equipment, the positioning system and the spacing of the cutting wires must be accurately adjusted; otherwise, dimensional deviations will occur, failing to meet construction requirements. Furthermore, unstable factors such as equipment vibration and wire swaying during the blank cutting process can also cause uneven cut surfaces, resulting in fluctuations in the thickness, length, and width of the aerated concrete blocks. This aspect also needs to be considered.

The cutting process also affects the surface quality of aerated concrete blocks. Improper parameter settings can lead to cracks and burrs on the block surface. A high-quality cut should ensure a smooth and flat surface, reducing subsequent processing workload and improving the product's market competitiveness. Therefore, the cutting speed and force of the aerated concrete block equipment must be reasonable. Excessive speed or cutting force may cause cracks, chipped edges, and other defects on the surface; while too slow a speed may result in burrs and rough edges, affecting the appearance and aesthetics of the aerated concrete block. Furthermore, the wear of the cutting wire must be considered; severely worn wire will make the cut surface rough and reduce appearance quality.

Besides the surface, the internal structure of the block is also affected by the cutting process. A reasonable cutting method will not damage the internal structure of the block, maintaining the original physical properties of the material, such as compressive strength and thermal conductivity. Improper cutting processes can lead to dimensional deviations, appearance defects, and internal structural damage, all of which can directly or indirectly affect the strength of aerated concrete blocks. Furthermore, if the cutting process disrupts the uniformity and integrity of the pores, it will alter the pore structure, resulting in an increase in the thermal conductivity of the aerated concrete block and a decrease in its thermal insulation performance. The uniform distribution of pores inside the block is the key to its excellent thermal insulation performance.
